Perplexity - Night Elf - Hunter - DPS

2. Why do you want to join SPG?
I am looking for guild that is quite progressed in ICC and has good raid attendance.

3. Please list all previous guilds/servers and your reason(s) for leaving each.
I was originally in Authentic when I first started "hardcore" raiding, they eventually broke up due to poor attendance. From there I moved on to Lunacy who ended up taking a break from hardcore raiding after one week raiding with them. Then I joined Executive Order who turned out to be an excellent guild. Though one of the raiding days not enough people showed up and they decided to do VoA 25 which kind of pissed me off a bit, so I ended up leaving.

4. What is your endgame raiding experience?
I know all of the ICC hardmodes in 25 man except for Putricide, Sindy, and Deathwisper.

5. Are you able to use Ventrilo to communicate during raids--as well as any other addon we require?
Yep

6. Please post a link to your Armory (http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com) profile.
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee … Perplexity

7. What, if any, entertainment value do you offer?
I bring the lulz on occasion

8. List the consumables you use for encounters and a brief explanation as to why you use them.
The obvious Flask of Endless rage for every phys dps class. I also use a potion of speed during fights for the extra bit of haste, but besides that nothing. I do also have the engineering haste enhancement on my gloves as well as the rocket boots for in case of a tight situation.

9. Explain what you perceive your character's role in endgame content to be.  Explain how your current gear, glyph, and
talent choices mesh with performing that role, and any ways in which you are still working on improving your character.  For
healers, use this section to describe your personal "healing style": which spells you favor, and why.  For DPSers or tanks, lay out the DPS or threat-generation rotations you employ, and explain, in detail, why each ability is used and why it's in that particular order. For example, if your rotation is Dot1-->Dot2-->CastTime Spell, explain why the Dots are put up first; what happens if they aren't? Don't skimp on this answer, show me you know what you're talking about, and that you didn't just regurgitate information from ElitistJerks, etc.

I currently am gemmed for armor pen as it's a hunters goal to get to the hard cap. I do realize with the proc on the NES i go over the cap and I plan on re-gemming a bit as soon as possible. I chose the Glyph of Steady Shot since it is a shot that is used a lot in my rotation and since SS is always being renewed by Chimera Shot I will always keep the glyph bonus up. The Glyph of SS is to increase the damage done by Chimera Shot and Hunters Mark to give more AP bonus on top of having Improved Hunters Mark. One thing I would like to mention is that I do understand I am above the hit cap and am basically only slotting gear that gives me less hit. As for my rotation, which I kind of explained above, I always start out the fight by placing SS on the boss. Then its Chimera Shot, Aimed Shot, and then Steady Shot until Chimera/Aimed is back up again. I keep silencing shot macro'd in to all of my shots except for on certain fights like Dreamwalker so I can help on interrupts.

10. Our raiding schedule is 8:15pm-12:00am EDT (server time, basically), Wednesday, Sunday, and Monday.  Do you have any conflicts with this schedule (i.e., can you be there every night)?
Nope, I can make 95% attendance.

11. Tell us about yourself.  Include age, gender, profession... but don't stop there.
Hi my name is Chris. I live in Florida and am 16 years old. Before I came to World of Warcraft I played Halo 3 for the Xbox 360 competitively traveling to states across the U.S. to compete. I have basically taken the hard work and dedication I put into Halo, into WoW. Other then that I like to hang out on the beach and surf since it is only 20 minutes or so away. I currently don't have a job and don't plan on getting one until I am at least 18.

12. Please post a screenshot of your UI during an active raid encounter or inside a battleground once it has started. You can use http://www.photobucket.com/ to host your image.

13. If you are applying as a dps or a tank, what is the top-end dps/tps for your class and spec on a (non-gimmick) movement-heavy encounter? Low-movement encounter? How far away from this number are you, and why? Post a WoL/WWS/etc link if available.
The top-end DPS on a basic stand still style fight is around 15k ish from what I'm looking at. I know I can put up at least 10k+ and even more with better gear. On a high movement fight from what I see its around 9kish or so. I can put up at least 6k DPS. I don't have any WWS links sadly sad

14. Is there anything else you feel we should know that is relevant to your application?
I don't think so. I think I said all I needed in the app. Thanks for taking the time to look over it and possibly consider me.

I don't know hunters very well, so I'll leave that to others, but these answers intrigued me.
What character was this "hardcore" raiding done on and why did you switch?
From looking, it appears you haven't done most of the hard-modes in 25-man or even 10-man ICC.
Also, from looking at your achievements, what "hardcore" raiding where you doing before ICC?

Nope, I can make 95% attendance.

So you left your other guilds because of attendance issues on others' parts, but you won't be able to make it to all of our 3 raiding nights?  We have a very lax schedule for a "hardcore" guild.

Was this a recurring thing or did you leave after just one night of not being able to raid?  Sometimes we have our attendance problems here, but if everyone left because we didn't raid for one night, we wouldn't ever raid.

Re: Perplexity - Hunter

First off, I would like to say this is a fairly organized application written by a 16 year old. However, you being 16 makes me worry about your maturity and ability to take criticism.

The other thing I am worried about is the fact that you left your last guild because you didn't have enough people for a raid and people went to do VoA. We went through a similar event about a month ago, and we ended up calling raids due to lack of attendance. Every core member of the guild stuck around and waited it out, and we are pretty much back on our feet with new recruits. Could you explain the situation of why you left a bit more?

Can't say much about hunters, if its anything nearly the same as rogues, you probably shouldn't have gemmed so much ArP to be over soft cap. Don't really agree with the "gem for the future, when I get this and that" mentality.

How fast can you tranq stuff without someone babysitting and telling you to tranq? How about kiting skills? Would you be able to pick up a zombie on Dreamwalker without assistance?

Someone insisted I ask:

Is there anything special you may do on movement fights to maximize dps? Do you ever reapply serpent sting?

so you can make 2 full nights and then 3 hours and 24 minutes of the 3rd night? What are you doing in those last 36 minutes if you don't mind me asking.

hey, not sure exactly how to reply because its not letting me on the thread but here it is :

Hey, sorry about the late response.

When I say "hardcore" I don't really mean it like that really. It was probably the wrong word to use but what I meant was it was the first guild that actually had a raiding schedule and things like that instead of pugging with random groups each week.

I CAN make all three raiding nights, sorry if I put that the wrong way. 95% as in theres a 5% chance that something comes up and I can't make it such as a family emergency.
With the VoA deal leaving probably wasn't the best answer to the problem but recently I have been having a lot of trouble with finding the right fit in a guild and I kind of ticked me off a bit, but I realize what I did now and I learn from my mistakes.  That might sound like i'm coming off as someone who is immature or gets mad easily, but honestly I'm really not like that.

The maturity thing I assure you won't be a problem. I honestly like criticism.

I am actually going to change up the gems today. Yesterday I finished off maxing out Jewelcrafting so I guess I was somewhat busy.

Tranqing will never be a problem, I'm very aware when it comes to my job in a fight. I will admit my kiting skills aren't the best, but if someone helps with a slow here and there I wont have a problem.

I occasionally tab to the boss to reapply if there are adds up just to keep that extra bit of damage up on a fight like deathwisper. I also always use arcane shot while on the move.

If I missed anything please let me know.
